December Break Camps in Cupertino

Full day camp options are available for ages 5-13 in public speaking and writing for the weeks of December break: 12/18 – 12/20 and 12/26 – 12/29. Different topics and curriculum are offered each week to promote learning in different styles.

Options:
  • Full day + after camp care ($80/week) = 9:00 – 6:00pm
  • Full day = 9:00 – 4:00pm
  • Half day = (Essay Writing) 9:00 – 12:00pm or (Public Speaking) 1:00 – 4:00pm

12/18 – 12/21 (Monday – Thursday)

Essay Writing: Focus and Accuracy

Bring purpose to your writing! To achieve specific goals, students will learn
to tailor their writing-style to particular audiences. Various genres and
styles of writing will be explored, and students will try their hand at each.
Max of 12 students.

Public Speaking: Improv

Improvisation is a fun and exciting type of speech which asks students to
create characters and dramatic scenarios on-the-spot. Students learn
valuable public speaking skills such as quick-thinking and personal
magnetism, all while laughing and collaborating with classmates. Max of
12 students.

12/26 – 12/29 (Tuesday – Friday)

Essay Writing: Student Publication

Students learn to write a polished manuscript for final publication!
This camp emphasizes the revision and editing process to finalize and
perfect a piece of writing. Students will work on a single piece of
publication-quality material under the instruction of an experienced
teacher. Max of 12 students.

Public Speaking: Student Leadership

Make your message heard! Student Leadership encourages children to Public Speaking: Improv
develop skills in diplomatic speaking, student advocacy, research, and
writing. Students learn how to dialogue with elected officials, draft
advocacy letters, and create presentations for social media. Taught at
age-appropriate level. Max of 12 students.
