In Creative Writing: Short Story, you will:

Instructor: Patricia Pinedo
Patricia Pinedo received a B.A. in Literature with an emphasis on Creative Writing from UC Santa Cruz and continued her
education at San Jose State University, where she graduated with an M.F.A. in Creative Writing. As a graduate assistant at San
Jose State, she assisted in instructing English courses. In addition to serving as a private aide and peer educator, she also has
four years of experience as a substitute teacher in the Sunnyvale School District. As an educator, Patricia strives to develop fun
and exciting curriculum for students to develop their skills further. She is also a published, award-winning poet and writer,
who has been featured in readings for SJSU’s Legacy of Poetry Day and Poetry Center San Jose. Moreover, she studied under
nationally renowned poets such as Gary Young and Samuel Maio. Patricia is an energetic instructor who has worked with kids
in creative writing for over 5 years.
